The program is free of charge

WENTYLE supports the 2D drawing of ventilation installations based on the system of circular pipes, and rectangular pipes and couplers.
It also contains the libraries of couplers and ventilation accessories of real producers.
It enables convenient construction of the installation and facilitates modifications.
Upon completion it automatically creates a specification of elements used in the project.
It also enables automatic calculation of pressure drops in the created installation or in its part.
If you found the program interesting, please recommend it to your friends.

Compatibility with individual versions of AutoCAD

Below please find the list of AutoCAD versions, with which the WENTYLE program is compatible. The list also specifies under what conditions:
  • Full versions of AutoCAD 14, 2000 – 2007.
  • AutoCAD LT version 2000LT - 2007LT, providing that the LT-Extender was installed LT-Extender www.lt-extender.com

Deskription-Manual

Inserting a fittings / ducts
A dialog window for that element is displayed, in this window you can select the “Size” and “Insertion point” (sometimes also such accessories as: “Damper closing level”, “Engine type” etc.).
Also enter the installation type (if it was not specified earlier). An element defined in such a way and attached to the cursor can be inserted into the project just like a typical AutoCAD block.

Designing along a path

This method of drawing is used for quickly constructing branches of installations.
After activating the “Designing along SR line”, “Designing along PR line” or “Designing along line” command of the Climaver system, you need to click successive points between which the program will draw the installation, automatically selecting appropriate lengths of ducts and angles of bends. If, during the drawing of installation branch, you right click on the successive point, you will open a dialog box.

Normally, the procedure of drawing “along the path” does not show the descriptions of inserted elements, they can be made visible using the “Thaw” command-icon or by changing the setting with the “Setup” command-icon. The descriptions of elements can be moped with the “Move description” command.

Adjust duct

This command is used to adjust the previously inserted duct to a new size of adjacent fitting, the size of which was changed with the “Edit” command.
Adjusting means changing the diameter/section and length of the duct accordingly.

Elastic hose

It is a special class object, the command to create this object changes a (previously drawn) poly-line into an elastic hose.
The poly-line must not be approximated; the procedure will approximate it automatically. The limits of hose end and beginning height can be entered - the height will be added to the calculated length. Hose length will be calculated and listed in the specification.

Second view of the branch

Please remember that you can also use the edit menu to change the drawing view of an already inserted fitting, e.g. T-fitting.
Thanks to this, by copying an entire branch and changing the views of T-fittings in the copied branch with the edit menu we can quickly receive another view of the branch. (Do not forget to uncheck the “Count” attribute with for the second view of the branch using global editing.)

Specification of elements

Specification of elements, used in the project, is created automatically with the “Specification command (icon) or “Specification according to manufacturers” icon.
If, by mistake, the project contains two elements having the same number and different parameters, the program will notify you about it and mark the elements in red. Then, for example, the number of the one element has to be modified with the Edit menu.
Note: To globally cancel the red highlighting click on “OK” only in the “Highlight” command.

User’s element

There are two commands allowing to add an own (user’s) element to the project.
The first one - “User’s element” - takes points of contact with adjacent elements into consideration. The second one - “Description only=>User’s element” described below only requires entering the project description data.

Calculations

Connect at a distance
This command connects the entire installation, the parts of which are drawn on several flat views of the drawing.
The View ending (terminating) a fragment of the installation contains an incomplete number of points of contact, e.g. bend view with the “circle” has only one point of contact instead of the nominal two. Further part of the installation is located in another part of the drawing, and the “Connect at a distance” command adds an appropriate point from the further part of the installation to our bend.

Installation for calculation
Selects entire installation for calculation or cancels selected objects. This command is often used to CANCEL object selected for calculations.

Check/Uncheck
Selects individual objects for calculations (enables selecting any fragment of the installation). This function operates as a switch; previously selected elements will be deselected.
See movie (flash format)

Declare INLET/Volume flow
Declares inlet into installation. First you are prompted to select the element, in which the inlet is located, then to indicate the inlet point itself. If the element in which the point was indicated belongs to an EXHAUST installation the program will prompt you to enter the desired volume flow at this point.

Declare OUTLET/Volume flow
Similarly like the previous command; this command is used to declare outlets from the installation. In case of SUPPLY installation the program asks for capacities.

dPa Calculations , checking the pressure drops , Selecting the fan
A detailed mode of calculating pressure drops in the drawn installation can be found in the second part of the program instruction manual – to be downloaded in the section “Download program”

Problems – generally

Often editing an element may help; we modify nothing, only press “OK” in the dialogue box of the element. The element is re-drawn and repaired.
For drawing parameters such as: Color, Type of line, Line width, use default settings of the drawing “ByLayer”, what will enable later modification of these parameters.

Problem – cannot draw “along the line”
Delete all .txt files from the folder C:\Wentyle001

Problem – only zeros in specification.
With the _STYLE command give the 0 value to the height of the STYL_WENTYLE font style.

Problems with calculations
Descriptions of problems that may occur during calculations can be found at the end of the second part of instruction manual – to be downloaded in the section “Download program”.

More information can be found in the instruction manual, available in „Download” section.
